Oil on canvas which is unlined. There is water staining on the reverse of the canvas. There is a small tear to the right of centre with associated paint loss. There is some hazing to the thin varnish layer, noticeable in the lower left corner. There are scattered retouchings across the surface covering wear and abrasion. The frame has suffered from woodworm damage in the right hand member with numerous exit holes on the front and reverse. The decorative elements of the frame have suffered from loss and abrasion. Oil on canvas which is unlined. The canvas is in plane. There are a few scuffs and losses to the paint layer with localised areas of retouching. The varnish has yellowed slightly and has a grubby appearance. Oil on canvas which is unlined. The canvas is slack on the stretcher with slight undulations across the surface. There is a deformation in the upper left quadrant which has caused loss to the paint layer. Generally the paint layer is stable. There are a few scattered retouchings in the background. The painting has a thick varnish layer which has yellowed and crazed. There is house paint spattered across the surface. The frame is too small for the painting which is attached to the reverse of the rebate. There are losses to the gilding on the frame which has a decorative pattern painted over the top.
