Condition report:

Framed 90.5 x 78cm

The painting is executed in oil on a canvas support which has been lined. The canvas tension is good and the picture is in plane. The paint layer has a network of age cracks, some of which are slightly raised with lifting edges. There are areas of overpaint across the surface covering old damages, cracks and reinforcing the figures. The overpaint is generally well matched to the original. The varnish is even and semi-matte.
