Cheffins featured on episode six of Series 5 of Clarkson’s Farm on 10th June, after being called in to value and sell one of Jeremy Clarkson’s most famed pieces of kit, a 350-horsepower 2016 Deutz-Fahr tractor.
How Cheffins came to feature on Clarkson's Farm
Approached by the programme’s producers in early 2025, Cheffins handled the sale of the tractor, which had been consigned directly from Diddly Squat Farm and featured prolifically throughout Series 4 of the TV show. It went under the hammer at the Cheffins Monthly Machinery Sale at Sutton, near Ely, on Monday 9th June 2025, drawing a crowd of Clarkson fans.
Having first visited Diddly Squat to assess and value the tractor, Oliver Godfrey, Head of Machinery Sales at Cheffins, provided a valuation in April 2025 before entering it into the firm’s well-established monthly machinery auction.
What featured on the show
The show featured Oliver Godfrey from Cheffins visiting Diddly Squat to meet the Clarkson’s Farm team and value the tractor. As well as carrying out a thorough valuation of it, Oliver and Jeremy took the tractor for a drive around the farm.
Following this, Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper visited the Cheffins Monthly Machinery Sale and watched the tractor go under the hammer. Modified by Clarkson himself with a bespoke cab lift and Lamborghini branding, it drew strong interest from both serious buyers and Diddly Squat fans. With 3,180 hours on the clock, it sold finally for £70,500 to a UK-based regular buyer, following a total of 62 bids.
Clarkson and Cooper were present in Cheffins’ purpose-built auction hall, watching events unfold with a large film crew in tow. During the visit, Clarkson and Cooper walked the length and breadth of the Cheffins 40-acre sale ground, discussing the machinery on offer on the day.
