Sutton, known historically as Sutton-in-the-Isle, is a sizeable village on the fen ridge west of Ely. Buyers searching for property for sale in Sutton get a proper village with shops and schools rather than a small hamlet. Its landmark is St Andrew's Church, whose distinctive octagonal lantern tower stands out for miles across the flat fen. Homes range from period cottages and farmhouses to family housing in the newer parts of the village.

Nearby, Haddenham and Witchford offer a similar fen-village setting within a short drive, while Ely to the east has far more homes on the market and trains. Cambridge is about 40 minutes by road.

Why Cheffins?

Established in 1825, Cheffins has grown into one of East Anglia's best-known firms of estate agents, auctioneers and chartered surveyors, with offices across the region, including Ely. The Ely team handles Sutton and the villages around it, backed by the firm's auctions and long experience with fenland and rural property, and can place the village against Haddenham and its other neighbours on price.
