Red Lodge is a modern, fast-growing village between Newmarket and Mildenhall, just off the A11. Property for sale in Red Lodge is overwhelmingly new build, which makes it one of the more affordable ways into a brand-new home in the area. Built up over the last few decades as a planned village, it now has its own primary schools, village centre, shops and open space at Red Lodge Heath, with Kennett station a couple of miles south for trains towards Cambridge and London. The housing is mostly recent family homes, bungalows and apartments, which suits first-time buyers and growing families above all.

For a wider mix of older and period property, Newmarket to the south-west and Mildenhall to the north, both offer more variety and history than a new village can. Kentford sits just south for a smaller, more rural option, and Cambridge is around half an hour down the A11 and A14 for commuters.

Why Cheffins?

Cheffins is a long-standing independent firm of estate agents and chartered surveyors, established in 1825 and well known across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk for residential sales, property auctions and lettings. Its Newmarket office handles Red Lodge and knows the new-build market here closely, from how the different developments and builders compare, to what holds its value best on resale.
