Property auctions are a great way to sell a property quickly and profitably, or buy properties and assets that tick all the boxes of what you’re looking for.

Our auctions have a 92% sale success rate, and we’re confident that we can help you to sell even the most difficult assets with popular house auctions that attract many interested, qualified buyers.

Whether you’re interested in selling or buying, choose the property auctioneers with more than 200 years of proven success.

Is a property auction right for you?

Property auctions are an ideal way to buy or sell property assets at a great price, but if you’re unfamiliar with the process, you might not know whether this is the right avenue to go down.

If you fall into any of these groups, there’s a good chance that you’ll benefit from attending one of our auctions:

  • Selling a challenging property: We’ve worked with sellers of all kinds of property, including difficult-to-sell assets that are struggling to find buyers. Our proactive marketing approach and expansive national reach help to sell your property fast.

  • First-time auction buyers: Looking to secure a development property at a great price? Our house auctions are a stress-free, convenient way to identify and purchase assets; whether you’re looking for a doer-upper to live in, or something to help you create equity as you move up the ladder.

  • Commercial property buyers: Our property auctions are a fantastic place for property investors or self-invested personal pension (SIPP) buyers to purchase commercial property and land. Cheffins’ hosting of the Commercial Property Network auctions gives buyers the additional chance to purchase all types of property from across the UK from a local property auctioneer.

  • Landowners and farmers: As well as managing house auctions, our auctioneers work with landowners to sell paddocks, farmland, or buildings with development potential.

  • Properties that are likely to experience high levels of interest: Property auctions can be a fantastic way to sell assets that are likely to receive high volumes of interest, too. The concise marketing period and transparent bidding process ensure that marketing momentum is maintained and the best price is achieved in a short time frame, without the worry of a sale then falling through.

Sellers can rest assured that we’ll always give the best advice, because we offer all routes of selling your property.  If we believe that you would be better off pursuing another avenue of sale, such as selling your property with an estate agent, we’d be happy to recommend the best approach for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can all properties up for auction be viewed?

Yes, all properties sold through our auctions can be viewed by buyers prior to the auction commencing. Each property also comes with a dedicated legal pack, so buyers have complete context ahead of their purchase.

How does Cheffins achieve the best price for properties?

Prior to our property auctions, we undertake an intense period of marketing for four weeks, which includes national, regional, and local advertising. Our properties are also advertised through Rightmove and EIG, the UK’s largest property auction website. If a property doesn’t sell during auction, we provide post-auction support that includes aggressive remarketing to attract the right buyers.

How long does completion take post-auction?

Once a property auction has concluded and contracts have been exchanged, completion typically occurs after 20 days. We keep buyers and sellers updated through the entire process, and provide post-sale guidance to ensure that everything moves along smoothly.
