Record prices were paid for a trio of Ford tractors with a 1989 Ford 8210 making £23,887.50, a 1978 Ford 7600 took £18,112.50 and a 1980 Ford 6600 hit £13,912.50.

Oliver Godfrey, Director, Cheffins, said:

“The prices achieved at Hamperden End go to show the popularity of modern classic tractors which have seen consistent growth in values in recent years. This section of the market has an active buyer base particularly for well-presented examples. All of the tractors were superbly maintained and a credit to the client who had maintained them for many years. Attention now turns to the Anstee collection of vintage tractors, implements and spares again near Saffron Walden, which is currently live and closes 21st September with viewing this Saturday 10am-4pm.”
