The Cheffins Planning & Development team has recently secured permission for a rewilding project at Howlett End, Wimbish, near Saffron Walden.

The proposal will see four acres of agricultural land transformed into a new biodiversity area, including orchard and tree planting, a new aquatic habitat, and new spaces for protected species.

Cheffins was engaged by the landowner to secure the permission for the rewilding project, as well as a garden extension.

Vaughan Bryan, who was involved with the application comments: “This is a brilliant project which saw significant local support from both the Parish Council and the Local Ward Member. It was approved on 15th March 2023, and we look forward to seeing the biodiversity area being implemented.”

Jon Jennings, who directed the project comments: “The success of this application is proof of the local Council’s support for environment-enhancing schemes and the importance of creating new wildlife habitats throughout the region.”
