Cheffins will bring over one thousand lots of vintage tractors, agricultural machinery and collectors’ items to Yorkshire at the annual Harrogate Vintage Sale. With the potential to gross over £500,000, this is the largest annual vintage auction of its type to be hosted in the Northern Counties and will take place on Saturday 15th August at The Great Yorkshire Showground.

Bill King, Chairman at Cheffins comments:

“We have been hosting our annual Harrogate Vintage Sale for almost 30 years now, and it has become established as one of the most important events in the calendar for vintage tractor and machinery enthusiasts across the UK and Europe. The sale typically attracts buyers and sellers from across Britain, Ireland and mainland Europe. For sellers, the Harrogate Vintage Sale has become a staple for our regular clients from the Northern Counties who want to give their pieces the visibility of an international audience, whereas for buyers, it’s a great opportunity to search for not only tractors but also steam engines, commercial vehicles, implements and spares.

Held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in the middle of the summer show season, the sale offers a fantastic opportunity to buy, sell and meet fellow enthusiasts, which has consistently made it a favourite event for our regulars, as well as offering a great day out.”

The highlight of the sale is a 1915 Aveling and Porter Showman’s Engine (conversion) which has been in the same ownership for 27 years. The ‘Albion’ is offered in good condition and has an estimate of £75,000 to £85,000 and has been consigned from Co Durham.

Among the over 100   tractors on offer, a meticulously restored 1979 Massey Ferguson 590 is likely to draw interest, while a yellow 1965 Massey Ferguson 765 will also be offered.
