Cheffins’ planning department assembled a multi-disciplinary team to submit a planning application on behalf of Masters Logistical for a warehouse and depot expansion which is currently under consideration by East Cambridgeshire District Council.

Based on the A10 at Stretham in Cambridgeshire, Masters Logistical provide wide-ranging third-party logistics services throughout the UK and, after experiencing consistent growth in recent years, purchased additional land on its northern boundary to facilitate expansion of the facility.

The scheme proposals include a new warehouse building amounting to approximately 30,000sq ft, a new office building attached to the warehouse, an extended yard for HGV parking and circulation, new surface water drainage proposals and associated landscaping and external works.

Because of the nature of Masters' business, Cheffins had detailed discussions with Cambridgeshire County Council highway authority prior to the submission of the application and traffic impacts have been meticulously assessed.

Local planning policy supports the growth of existing rural businesses and we currently await the formal determination of this application by the Council.
