The UK’s largest agricultural construction and groundcare machinery dealer show, The Doe Show, will take place online between 25th January – 4th February 2021. Given current pandemic restrictions, Ernest Doe has taken the decision to host the sale of new and used stock via a dedicated microsite, created especially for the event, and an online auction, in partnership with machinery auctioneer, Cheffins.

The Doe Show has been a firm fixture in the agricultural, construction and groundcare industries calendars since 1960. Held during the first week of February every year, the Doe Show attracts huge crowds to the Ernest Doe head office at Ulting in Essex. Clearance stock and used machinery on offer will form a large part of the online event, ensuring that customers can buy up brand new warranted machines at clearance prices. There will be used, ex-demo, ex-hire and clearance items, all available through the Cheffins online auction.

Graham Parker, Sales Director at Ernest Doe comments: “Given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it would be irresponsible to hold our 2021 Doe Show in the physical sense. However, we are delighted to be able to bring the 61st Doe Show to our customers, albeit in a different way than we have over the past 60 years. Finding new ways of engaging with our customers excites us and we are looking forward to the challenge! This bold step forwards into the digital domain presents us with a unique opportunity to try something new and we very much hope you will join us for our Doe Show with a difference.”

Bill King, Chairman at Cheffins says: “We are delighted to be working with Ernest Doe to deliver what is easily one of the most anticipated events in the machinery calendar. By providing the access to an online timed auction format for the dealership, we are able to ensure that buyers from across the world still have access to some of the fantastic second-hand agricultural, construction and groundcare machinery on offer. Cheffins will be providing a support team to help purchasers throughout the duration of the auction and will also not be charging buyer’s premiums, so the price you bid is the price you pay.”

The Doe Show microsite launches on the 25thJanuary with the auction available for bidding via either https://doeshow.ernestdoe.com or at www.cheffins.co.uk.

Bill King continues: “Online timed auctions have become a necessity in recent months following the coronavirus outbreak, however we have been glad to see that these have had a fantastic take up from buyers both old and new and have ensured that second-hand machinery prices have held firm. The sale for Ernest Doe will offer a huge range of quality equipment covering agricultural, horticultural and construction and will be set to attract both private and trade bidders on an international scale.”

The 61st Doe Show also features a dedicated webpage for each of the attending manufacturers, including Case IH and New Holland, filled with interactive videos and product walk throughs created exclusively for the Doe Show, allowing potential buyers to learn about all the very latest equipment available on the market. In addition, several hundred Doe Show Deals will also be available including some fantastic offers and finance packages, these can be found at the Doe Show Deals section of the website.
