Homes with gardens or balconies will be in greater demand by househunters over the next two years according to a recent survey by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Even private tenants are reassessing their search criteria with searches for houses with gardens on Rightmove soaring by 84% last month compared with the same time last year. Gardening has seen a massive resurgence in popularity since lockdown began and it's not just flowers and shrubs we're interested in. Fruit and vegetable seeds sales have soared during the last three months too. Carefully curated terraces or balconies with terracotta pots can add the wow factor in the tiniest of spaces."
