The Cheffins April Vintage Sale promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with the sale running over two days and all sections to allow both live and online bidding.

Taking place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd April, the sale will see hundreds of lots go under the hammer, including classic and vintage tractors, cars, motorbikes and collectors’ items.

The auction on Friday 22nd April will encompass literature, models and steam spares and the sale on Saturday 23rd April will include tractors, motorbikes, vehicles and tractor spares and implements.

Bill King, Chairman, Cheffins, says: “Whilst the pandemic put a stop to live auctions for a period, we have decided that from April we will now return all sections of the sale back to offering both live and online bidding. We had a period of selling some sections of the sale solely online, however, as our Vintage Sales are a major part of the machinery calendar and are so well-attended by clients old and new, we thought it best to offer live bidding throughout all sections now that social distancing regulations have been relaxed. There is nothing quite like the atmosphere of a buzzing auction and we will be pleased to be able to offer this throughout all sections from April onwards.”

Cheffins’ leading online bidding platform has seen an exponential growth in sales, with some auctions seeing over half of items offered sold online.

Bill King continues:

“The timed online format has proved to be hugely successful and has allowed our auctions to continue almost unabated throughout the past 18 months. It offers a robust and secure basis for people to bid for items if they are unable to attend our sales and we will be continuing to offer this service as well as live auctions. We already have a number of fantastic lots consigned for the April sale and are looking forward to returning to our traditional format.”

The sale will take place on the 22nd and 23rd April, at Cheffins Machinery Sale Ground, Sutton, Ely, CB6 2QT.  For more information, please visit www.cheffins.co.uk, or call Cheffins auctioneers on 01353 777767.
