Cheffins commercial property department has recently taken over the management of Peppercorn House, St Neots, a large three-storey office building.
The building currently has three tenants in-situ, including Wilkinson & Butler Solicitors, Keystone Marketing and KDM Communications. Totalling over 3,971 sq ft, the building includes 20 car parking spaces and is located on Huntingdon Street, close to St Neots High Street. Cheffins was instructed to manage the building in December 2024, and since has successfully implemented a service charge budget and organised a series of works and repairs to the property including improvements to the heating system and a review of health and safety procedures.
Daniel Malley at Cheffins who manages the property on behalf of the Landlord Windruff Holdings Ltd comments: “We were pleased to be instructed to manage this quality building on behalf of the landlord. It needed a series of repairs and works which we have undertaken with minimal disruption to the tenants who we have regular contact with through visits to the property. This is just one example of how instructing a management agent on commercial buildings can really add value for landlords.”
Windruff Holdings’ property adviser, David Coskie of Wright & Partners, approached Cheffins when the incumbent managing agent decided that they were no longer able to continue in the position, and a number of outstanding repair issues required attention. David commented that he needed a reliable managing agent who could take over the role, quickly and efficiently, and to ensure a seamless transition -“I knew that Cheffins would be the best people for the job and so it has proved."
