A terrace of eight industrial units on the Shire Hill Industrial Estate, Saffron Walden, is now fully let following five lettings through Cheffins and joint agent Coke Gearing.

The final unit comprising 3,547 sq ft of refurbished industrial accommodation was let in March 2021 to Aspire & Co Ltd. Each of the units were of steel portal frame construction and had been extensively refurbished including a new roof. Other tenants within the terrace include PPF Servicing Ltd, The Thaxted Vets Ltd, Wood Street Coffee and Unique Health and Fitness.

Mark Drummond, Associate at Cheffins says:

“Shire Hill Industrial Estate is a popular location for traditional industrial occupiers as well as other businesses as demonstrated by the variety of new occupiers which have taken space within the terrace. The units were offered either individually or together offering various sizes, and with them being newly refurbished, they were hugely in demand, leading to healthy rents of approximately £10 per sq ft being achieved. The five lettings occurred during lockdown and are illustrative of the shortage of availability in the local area. Industrial accommodation continues to be some of the most sought-after within the commercial property sector and this has led to an increase in rental values.”
