We are looking for a full-time Auction Administrator who would be based at our Auction Saleground, Sutton, Ely, Cambridgeshire (CB6 2QT).

Now is the time to take your career to the next level by working with our friendly Auction team that together operate the largest monthly modern agricultural machinery auctions in Europe, as well as the leading and very popular vintage tractor and historic vehicle auctions in the UK.

The team also conduct on-site auctions on client premises throughout the UK and provide a wide range of valuations for clients. You would work as part of a friendly, dynamic and forward thinking team who pride themselves on customer care and building long-term client relationships.

What will you be doing?

Answering the telephone, providing key administration support to the Auction team for all aspects of Live and Timed Auctions, alongside attending to client enquiries. 


Main Purpose / Scope of the role:

  • Answering the telephone and dealing with day to day queries, pre and post auctions
  • All administration for the auction team, coordinating auction days, booking facilities, answering client enquiries, completing V5s
  • Dealing with auction/sale-day payments
  • Assisting the accounts Manager with various accounting functions, including debt collection
  • Producing sale-day catalogues for a wide range of auctions, which will involve data entry
  • Assisting the production of valuation reports
  • Event management for auction sale days

  • Ability to organise your workload to meet multiple deadlines
  • Enjoy a varied, busy and rewarding role
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills and enthusiasm for embracing ever changing and advancing technology
  • High level of accuracy is key to this role
