Cheffins’ next property auction, taking place on Wednesday 23rd September at 2pm, will feature a bumper catalogue of 24 lots, offering a series of doer-upper properties across East Anglia. In Thurlow, Suffolk, there is a pair of thatched cottages, which have an estimate of £200,000 - £220,000 and an additional separate single-storey brick-built cottage which is set to sell for £200,000 – £225,000. Similarly, there is a thatched cottage in Barnham, Norfolk, which is Grade II Listed and in need of full refurbishment and is estimated at £200,000+.
Also on offer is an attractive Grade II listed thatched cottage in Castle Camps, Suffolk, which needs fully renovating and has an estimate of £295,000. Similarly, a brick and flint cottage in Steventon End, near Saffron Walden which needs repair is offered for £325,000 - £375,000. In Cambridge, a four-bedroom terraced house on Alpha Terrace in Trumpington is set to sell for £385,000. For those looking for a smallholding, a detached house with two paddocks extending to just over 1.7 acres is available in Whittlesey, Peterborough for £250,000+.
In the commercial investments section of the sale, there is a pair of properties on Huntingdon High Street. The Grade II listed buildings are in a prime location and both arranged over three floors. One building is currently vacant and the other is fully let to a firm of solicitors. The building has an estimate of £300,000. There is also a former doctor’s surgery in Kedington, near Haverhill. The surgery has been closed since 2025 and includes a series of treatment rooms, kitchenette and car park.

Leading these is 4.35 acres at Little Downham near Ely, which comes with a field shelter and a further 3.5 acres, also at Little Downham, which are available with an estimate of £50,000 and £30,000 alike. In addition, there’s further land and available in Debden and Clavering, both near Saffron Walden.
