Bradworthy Transport Museum Sale

Cheffins are pleased to have been instructed by Ken and Pat Wilson to sell by auction the contents of the Bradworthy Transport Museum. The decision to sell the collection is due to ill health and the sale of Higher Alsworthy Farm.

The museum was established in 2006 after Ken and his wife Pat moved from Kent and acquired the farm. For Ken it was the realisation of a dream to house his varied collection of classic cars, motorcycles, tractors and commercial vehicles in a museum open to the public. The existing farm buildings were converted to house Ken’s burgeoning collection of historic vehicles and memorabilia and the museum eventually opened in 2006.

Ken had started collecting over 40 years ago while operating his own plant hire and haulage business in Kent, and almost the entire collection had to be moved to Devon following his purchase of Higher Alsworthy Farm. The collection now consists of some 100 historic vehicles which Ken is rightly proud of.

The auction sale will take place on the premises; Higher Alsworthy Farm, Bradworthy, Holsworthy on Saturday 22nd May 2010 at 10am.

Catalogues are available from the auctioneers at £7 each and the catalogue will be on-line two weeks prior to the sale.

For further information please contact the auctioneers on 01223 213777 or e-mail jeremy.curzon@cheffins.co.uk.
