A Victorian rock crystal, diamond and pearl heart pendant,

Circa 1890, a heart shaped slice of rock crystal, surrounded by a border of rose cut diamonds, surmounted by a rose cut diamond and pearl crown (one pearl lacking), verso, a detachable friction fitting bezel, jump ring bale, length including bale 3.3cm, width 2.3cm, unmarked, tested as 9ct gold and silver, suspended from a trace link chain with eight pearls, length 38cm, tested as platinum, gross weight 5.7g



Overall condition: Fair to good
One pearl lacking, all diamonds present
Heavy abrasion to rock crystal, obvious with the naked eye
Chipping to diamonds, consistent with age
Heavy tarnishing to settings
Lead solder visible on reverse, possible repair
Heavy scratches/wear to mount
Jump ring bale isn't soldered
Bolt ring clasp opens and closes positively
