A Chinese red-painted pottery figure of a standing horse, Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), the head turned to the left with ears pricked forward with bright red saddle, and brown coat 31cm high The results of a thermoluminescence test, Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art Oxford University, No. 866h24 dated 7 May 1997, is consistent with the dating of this lot.Stress crack at top left side of rear left leg. Minor ace rim chipping. Natural degradation
