A Chinese painted pottery figure of a standing horse, Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), the mouth open and the head turned to the left with ears pricked forward29cm high The results of a thermoluminescence test, Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art Oxford University, No. 866h23 dated 7 May 1997, is consistent with the dating of this lot.A number of stress cracks on both front legs and drill hole between legs (from testing). Possible old filler to front of the chest?
