House. C17 altered early C19. Renovated and extended C20. Timber frame part exposed with rendered infill. Low pitch slate roof with grey brick ridge stack. Lobby entry plan and end to road. Two storeys. Fenestration is all C20 and includes an oriel window with leaded lights. Doorway in large flat roof, brick porch to the side. Inside: abutting hearths, including an inglenook. The parlour has raised and fielded panelling of mid-late C18 below the dado and a corner cupboard of same period. Another hearth was added to the end bay probably early C18. The house was the childhood home of Dr. W.M. Palmer, the antiquarian.
