Footnote:

The Empress of Australia served as Royal Yacht for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth during their Royal tour of Canada. They sailed from Portsmouth on 6th May 1939, escorted by two Royal Navy cruisers, HMS Glasgow and HMS Southampton along with two destroyers, arriving in Quebec on 17th May. Snaffles was a guest of the Captain, Aubrey St. Clair-Ford, R. N., on one of the destroyers, HMS Encounter.



Condition report:

Framed 43 x 59cm

The colours in the 1st image are closest to reality. Light foxing throughout the sky area. Little surface dirt under glass. There appears to be slight discolouration and toning to the paper. A small chip to the frame. Not examined out of frame.
