An 80 piece set of late 19th / early 20th century French metalwares cutlery and flatware with English silver additions, by Henri Soufflot (1884-1910), with French export marks for 950 standard silver, with threaded edge and acanthus leaf clasp decoration, comprising eighteen table forks, twelve table spoons, twelve dessert forks, twelve dessert spoons and a pair of fish servers together with twelve table knives and twelve dessert knives by Roberts & Belk, Sheffield 1959, 'Louis Seize' pattern with steel blades and filled handles, 125ozt weighable (80)
Provenance: From the collection of the late Sir Richard Parsons Henri Soufflot was a French manufacturing jeweller and silversmith based in Rue de Turbigo, Paris from 1884 until the company was taken over by E. Caron Silversmiths in 1910. They specialised in fine cutlery and flatware.
