A rare and large bronze bell, Yong Zhong, late Spring and Autumn, early Warring States, 6th-5th century, BC, with large chamber below a tubular shank, encircled by a thick collar, a loop in front, the octagonal tubular section decorated with cloud pattern, the collar cast with animal faces, nine blunt projecting studs are symmetrically arranged on either side of the vertical panels of the fa‡ades, interlocking dragon motifs fill the spaces between, the striking area above the arched rim decorated mainly with dragons, 54cm high In addition to the buyer's premium of 27% (22.5% + VAT) payable on the Hammer Price, this lot is also subject to import VAT at the reduced rate of 5%, payable on the Hammer Price. This indicates that the lot has been imported from outside the European Union.
