A pair of George III Scottish silver basting spoons, by Robert Gray, Edinburgh 1799, 'Old English' pattern, monogrammed 5.7ozt (2) 31cm (12in)
Other Notes: Robert Gray was a Glasgow silversmith. Between 1784 and 1819 the Glasgow Assay office was closed, so during this time Gray had to send his goods to be tested and marked at the Edinburgh Assay office.
