A George III silver gilt snuff box, maker unknown, Chester 1815, of circular form, engine turned all over, with slightly domed friction fitting cover decorated to match featuring a crested circular cartouche, the concave base with a central vacant circular cartouche, 4.9ozt 3 x 8 x 8cm (1 x 3 x 3in)
Provenance: From the collection of the late Sir Richard Parsons
Originally gilded throughout, the exterior shows wear all over, though the interior still retains good coverage. Dents and dings to the edges of box and cover as to be expected
