the top worked with a couple, probably King Charles II and Queen Henrietta Maria flanked by animals and insects including a butterfly and a caterpillar, the front worked with a family group, the back and sides with other biblical references including Abraham and Isaac and Rebecca at the well, the hinged cover opening to reveal a period mirror and fitted interior, raised on silvered ball feet and contained within a later glazed mahogany display case,the casket, 17 x 26.5 x 16.5cmProvenance: Private collection, CambridgeCondition report: In very good condition, colours remain relatively vibrant, a few loose threads, some deterioration of mirror plate - see additional images.The display case measures 23.8 x 32.3 x 32.2cm
