Description

A Danish metalwares covered vegetable dish, by A. Dragsted, Copenhagen 1917, with the mark of Assay Master Christian F Heise and Three Towers mark indicating minimum silver standard of 826/1000, of simple circular form with scalloped reed and ribbon lip, the two reeded handles with foliate caps and the plain slightly domed cover with matching handle, 38ozt 17 x 25 x 25cm (7 x 10 x 10in)
Other Notes: A. Dragsted are a Danish Company of silversmiths and jewellers, founded in 1854 by Arent Dragsted, and were jewellers to the Royal courts of Denmark, Greece and Russia. Aage Dragsted was the senior designer and owner from 1886-1942. They currently have a store in Copenhagen.
