About this lot

Description

A Bow model of a man dressed as a Turk, circa 1765, standing in colourful attire on a scroll moulded acanthus base, 20cm high
Other Notes: The figure probably derives from Meissen prototypes, the modeller, J. J. Kandler produced a Persian man and a woman in 1748 which were based on the engravings in Comte de Ferriol, Differentes nations du Levant, Paris, 1714.
