Provenance: Acquired from the artist directly by the vendor, with accompanying note to the vendor, dated 1987, which states '...I am glad that the storage jars are in use...' Edmund de Waal is the author of The Hare with the Amber Eyes and a renowned potter and artist. His installations can be found in many public collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Tate Gallery and in Cambridge at Kettle’s Yard and the Alison Richard Building at the Sidgwick Site of the University of Cambridge.
