New Life for High Street Store in Royston

New life has been breathed into a historic building on the corner of Royston High Street thanks to some active management by Cheffins’ commercial team.

The building at 30 High Street stood empty and in desperate need of some improvement and new occupiers. Cheffins now manage the premises on behalf of the landlord and Cheffins’ management team carried out refurbishment works after letting the first floor to a local magazine company. The ground floor retail unit has recently been let to Shoecare, who have invested in a high quality fit out and now the building is fully occupied. 30 High Street is a prominent building in a key corner location and it’s now back at its best and a real asset to the High Street.

“The retail centre of Royston has improved enormously in the last ten years. Royston has experienced significant growth and the retail streets at its heart have benefitted from that with more choice now in independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants – and a concomitant reduction in vacant shops. Royston today offers a more interesting and vibrant environment for shoppers than it has done in quite a while. The renovation and letting of 30 High Street has contributed to that improved retail environment,” explains Luke Davenport from Cheffins’ commercial team.

The retail unit on the ground floor at 30 High Street was let on a new 10 year lease to Shoecare at a rental of £11,000 per annum exclusive.
