Treasures in Herefordshire

On the 12th September 2009 Cheffins will be offering the impressive collection of the late Keith Hill. Keith was an avid supporter of the vintage tractor movement and was a regular at many local ploughing matches and tractor runs. As well as running a medium sized arable unit Kieth found the time to work on and restore his collection of vintage and classic tractors, vehicles, carts and wagons.

The sale will appeal to many collectors due to the huge variety of tractors, vehicles and horsedrawn wagons and carts. The tractor section will include many restored examples such as an IH B450, W6, B275, 650, Farmall M and A also a very well presented John Deere AR, 710, D, BR, 420c and Lindaman B crawlers. The sale also has a good show of David Browns with a very well restored 770 Selectamatic Live Drive 6 and 25D.
Keith Hill also amassed a fine collection of crawler tractors, to include Cletrac HG31, Fiat 25c, Caterpillar D4 (2), D4D, Fordson County Major, Fowler VF, FD2, Allis Chalmers M, HD5B to name a few.

Along with a good selection of mounted and trailed ploughs and implements there is also a fantastic complement of horsedrawn carts and wagons to include carts, traps, wagons, sleighs. Many of which have been restored or had extensive repair work, all are stored undercover.

To add to the diversity of the sale there are also vintage cars and commercials such as a 1962 Foden 4G/15 and a c.1950 Bedford OL interspersed amongst a Jaguar MK2, XJ12, Sovereign, Mazda RX-7, Alvis T21/1, Porsche 924, Jensen Healey MK1, Bentley T1 and Daimler V8 250.

Keith Hill also ran his medium arable unit and we will also be offering a 1992 Massey Ferguson 3070 Autotronic, 1984 IH 1460 Axial Flow and c.1970 Claas Senator combine harvesters, grain trailers and machinery and implements to include Opico Vari-Flex VF630XHD rolls, Rolland Conic 2065 muck spreader, Teagle XT46 fertiliser spreader, Opico GT Model 370 grain dryer also cultivators, plough and miscellanea.
