Soham warehouse sold to trailer firm
Cheffins Commercial has sold 14,207 sq ft of offices and warehousing on a .71 acre site at Soham’s Regal Drive industrial estate.
Trailer firm Wilstow Ltd has purchased 14,207 sq ft of offices and warehousing on a .71 acre site on Soham’s Regal Drive industrial estate. Ben Sole of Cheffins Commercial said: “The property sold for £630,000 and attracted a fair degree of demand from firms needing both warehousing space and a good level of open storage.”
Wilstow Trailers have been trading for over 25 years and have developed a range of trailers, trailer products and leisure accessories which they sell and hire, which they consider provide uniqueness and quality. Wilstow also offer a wide range of trailers to suit most duties including general purpose, light commercial, heavy duty trailers, plant trailers, horse box trailers and marine trailers.
At nearby Newmarket this strong demand for freehold commercial premises was also reflected in the sale of 4413 sq ft at Minton Enterprise Park, Newmarket, to expanding soft furnishings manufacturers Chris Hutchings Ltd of Haverhill.
The transaction was handled by Cheffins Commercial whose Ben Sole says: “The price paid was £250,000. This is an established business park location and the sale demonstrates the interest firms have in purchasing their own premises. Demand has been boosted by investors wanting to put their pension funds into commercial property. This trend has been strong for the past two years and with the current uncertainties on the stock markets, property investment still offers many benefits.”
