Rolf Harris has donated a small acrylic painting to be auctioned for charity by Cheffins Auctioneers (November 21/22 2007).

Rolf Harris has donated a small acrylic on board specifically painted to be part of a collection of donations from artists to The Curwen Print Study Centre. These lots will be auctioned at Cheffins Auctioneers in Cambridge in their November 21st/22nd 2007 Fine Art Sale. The Study Centre is an educational printmaking charity who hope the money raised will enable them to further develop the Centre, offering even more opportunities to adults and children alike to learn printmaking skills in a professional studio.
‘Rolf as a Kangaroo with red bow tie’ will have an estimate of £2,000-3,000 and promises to attract a great deal of attention. Acclaimed as one of the most popular artists in the world this fun small acrylic is one of many items donated by artists who have used Curwen Studios.
Other lots will also include the work of celebrated local artist and sculptor Helaine Blumenfeld, whose sculptures can be seen outside Clare College and on the corner of Hills Road and Brooklands Avenue. Her print ‘Flame II’ has an estimate of £450-750.
The Curwen lots will all be auctioned during Cheffins two day Fine Art Sale on November 21st & 22nd 2007 at Cheffins Auctioneers, Clifton House, Clifton Road, Cambridge.
Viewing will take place from the previous Sunday.
