Move to the Country Show a Huge Success

The Move To The Country Show was a large event held recently in south London and proved to be another major marketing coup for Cheffins.

Hundreds of homes were showcased at a leading exhibition centre by some 25 quality agents from across the UK – and Cheffins was the Mid-Anglian firm to take part.

Bruce King at the firm’s Saffron Walden office said: “We were inundated by several hundred visitors to the event and we have added many more prospective London buyers to our applicants’ list.

The main interest was from families seeking a lifestyle change by selling in London and moving to a commutable country location, as well as pre-retirement enquiries, with East Anglia high on their list of preferences”.

More than 70,000 prime London addresses were targeted and the event was widely publicised in the London press with Country Life Magazine supporting.

One of the major driving forces for the residential market in this area is buyers from London and demand is reinforced by the City bonuses, according to Cheffins.

Bruce King explained that a high percentage of applicants for properties in the mid-Anglia area are London buyers :

"With a standard four bedroom terrace house in Fulham selling above £800,000, prices in and around Saffron Walden look great value. It isn’t just the top of the market properties which interest London buyers – all price ranges seem to be in demand."

The success of the exhibition was such that Cheffins are committed to participating in future London events and are actively looking to further develop their marketing in that area.

Clients paid no extra for this opportunity to get in front of the London high earners – it is all part of Cheffins service.

Properties from all of Cheffins offices were on show covering Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Ely, Haverhill and Newmarket.
