Cheffins expands Rural Professional department with key new recruit

Cheffins is strengthening its position within the rural sector across the East Anglian region with the appointment of Katie Hilton as Farm Management Consultant.

Katie Hilton joins Cheffins from The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG), where for the past four years she held the position of Farm Environment Consultant. This role involved a focus on providing advice to farming businesses on the management of their environmental assets, drawing on knowledge in Environmental Stewardship and Catchment Sensitive Farming, whilst facilitating entries into retailer assurance schemes such as LEAF Marque and Tesco Nurture. Prior to working for FWAG, Katie worked for Natural England from 2001 – 2011 as Lead Adviser on Environmental Schemes. At Cheffins, Katie's focus will be advising clients on strategic and practical issues for farming and landowning clients with a concentration of various aspects of agri-business including: farming agreements; the Basic Payment Scheme; Countryside Stewardship and rural grant funding.

 

Led by Simon Gooderham and Jonathan Stiff, Cheffins’ Rural Professional team has gone from strength to strength with a number of significant projects in the past year. Cheffins manages an impressive portfolio of rural holdings as well as being involved in a series of some of the region’s key land and property sales.
