In the driver's seat for corporate go-karting!

In March local companies turned out in driving force at the Friends of Addenbrooke’s Annual Kart challenge at Cambridge Kartsport, Caxton to help raise £2000 for the Urology department at Addenbrookes.

Cambridge Kartsport generously provided the centre for the night at minimum cost and were also wonderful hosts, providing very humorous commentary.

Competition on the track was fierce as six corporate teams teams from Signify (winners), Price Bailey, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Cheffins, Eversheds and Mills & Reeve fought for top position during the two hour endurance race, with each team member sharing the drive.
Congratulations to Signify who won the competition for the second year running!

Just over £2000 was raised to support prostate cancer patients in the Urology department at Addenbrookes, where blood tests are carried out.

Jane Small, Chair of the Friends of Addenbrookes said: "This was an amazing evening, and one of my favourite events in the Friends' calendar. Everyone was so generous with their money and time, it was a most successful event, and the money will be gratefully received by the Urology department to benefit future patients."
