Bringing home the bacon!

Our latest onsite farm machinery auction was held at New House farm, Ashdon near Saffron Walden on Wednesday 15th July 2010. There was a good selection of modern machinery and useful livestock requisites on offer.

Prices of note include a 2008 Selbourne Parmiter grass harrows at £2,400, Keenan Klassik II feeder wagon at £6,000, Spread-A-Bale bale shredder hit an impressive £4,950 and a useful 12ft Ifor Williams stock trailer fetched £1,800. Trailer trade was brisk again with an AS Marston 15ton at £3,100 and a 1991 Griffiths 10ton making a competitive £3,000.

It was then onto the main lots of the sale and we started with a very sharp 2000 Case MX135 with a Quicke A970 front loader and showing just shy of 4,000 hours. Estimates were shattered and left a muttering crowd when the hammer knocked down at a pleasing £21,800! Tractor trade remained strong with a 1997 JCB 1115S Fastrac topping £8,300 and a sharp 1996 Massey Ferguson 6170 Dynashift made a satisfying £10,850. The one they all wanted was to follow in the form of a 2007 JCB 531 70 Agri Super and opened with a strong bid of £25,000 and after some fierce bidding was off to Lincolnshire for £31,000!

Other prices of note were a 1993 Craven Tasker bulk trailer at £4,400 and in the included section was a very clean 1990 Claas 108SL Dominator combine harvester and was hotly contested to £20,200.
