Cheffins are on their travels again.

The death of a well known local contractor from Tavistock in Devon has brought about a dispersal sale of an excellent range of grassland equipment and tractors. Which takes place on Thursday 5th November on the farm just outside Tavistock.

Cheffins have been instructed by the executors of the estate of Duncan Harrison deceased to conduct an auction sale of the assets of the contracting business. The sale includes a 2009 John Deere 7450 which was purchased new in April of this year. It has covered just 2670 acres in 157 cutting hours and a total of 225 engine hours. Giving a throughput of over 17 acres /hours. A Krone Big M and Claas Jaguar 695 triple mowers complete the line up of self propelled harvesters.

A trio of John Deeres make up the tractor line with a 2008 6830 Premium (1266hrs) and 2 6920 S (circa 5000hrs each).

A smart line up of Claas machinery makes up the implement line which includes a 2009 Claas Liner 3000 rake which covers 50ft or more, 2 Disco 3050 Plus mowers (2008 and 2009) and a Volto tedder and a smaller 2007 Liner 880 rake.

A great selection of forage trailers, and dump trailers from Griffiths and Herbst Complete the trailer line- up.

A small but good selection of plant was used by Duncan in his groundwork business and consists of 2 Daewoo SL130 13tonne excavators and a 5-5t Midi digger which is complemented by a comprehensive selection of buckets.

A selection of additional machinery is included from neighbouring farmers.
