Credit crunch works for Cheffins
The closing down of businesses and the sale of surplus properties and stock has led to new opportunities for multi-disciplinary property services Cheffins, reports Philip Woolner. The latest instructions include two business units in Haverhill and a complete railway in Wiltshire.
The industrial units are being offered on behalf of the administrator, Ian Carr of Grant Thornton LLP. The largest unit is in Stour Valley Road and comprises nearly 7,300 sq ft of factory premises with offices. A detached building, it offers a range of uses and is for sale freehold with a guide price of £240,000.
The smaller building is at Hamlet Green Industrial Estate and consists of an end-of-terrace warehouse/production unit of nearly 4,300 sq ft. It too is offered freehold and the guide price is £175,000.
Both properties are well located and would suit either investors looking to re-enter the commercial property a market or occupiers seeking competitively priced space.
The railway is being marketed by Cheffins' machinery experts and is one of a number of sales of industrial machinery and vehicles received by the firm.
