Cheffins opens new office
Cheffins is bucking the property trend by EXPANDING at a time when many other property businesses are consolidating.
One of the longest established and largest independent firms of agents and auctioneers based in East Anglia, the firm has opened its new residential office in Crown Street, St Ives – the sixth office across the region with another in central London.
“We’ve been looking to expand for some time and this opportunity in St Ives was too good to miss,” says Cheffins’ Director Richard Freshwater who will be overseeing the new office, though remains based in Cambridge.
“We have been selling an increasing number of properties in the St Ives area and are seeing a clear demand from both Cambridge and London buyers.
“We are now in a unique position where our London Office is putting our clients’ properties directly in front of London buyers, bringing huge benefits,” he adds.
“We believe that this, combined with our professional, friendly approach and the local knowledge that our network of offices brings, has been the secret of our continued success. Hence we are now in the fortunate position to expand.”
Cheffins handles a wide range of properties, from apartments to country homes. The firm has continued to increase its market share across the region over the past few years – and is now the market leader in all five established local offices.
Hoping to continue that trend is the St Ives-based team headed by Office Manager Michael Houlden, who moves from the Cambridge office to take up the new role.
“This is an exciting new challenge for me. St Ives is a lovely town and I can’t wait to bring Cheffins’ unique way of working to the local property market,” he says.
“Cheffins is a highly professional firm with more than 120 staff. We offer a very high level of service to people wishing to sell their property, which includes extensive marketing across the UK. Our website attracts more than a million visitors a year and which, when combined with our London Office, gives us a reach that other estate agents cannot match.
“By increasing the competition for houses in and around St Ives we expect to bring great benefits to local sellers of property.”
