Cheffins Fine Art Sale
This busy and successful sale had several highlights throughout the two days.
A wonderful folio of six pen, ink and wash elevations and plans of the Palazzo Albergati, Bologna by Marcantonio Chiarini (Italian, 1652-1730) attracted a great deal of attention and finally fetched £4,200.
The oil paintings section sold a wonderful Thomas Luny. ‘A view near Seaton, Devon, 1835 which after keen bidding made £14,000.
A pair of Art Deco bronze hare bookends, by Andre Vincent Becquerel, signed, 19cm high made £1,000.
Our next Fine Art Sale will be held on 25th & 26th March 2009. Entries close 20th February.
