The gauntlet has been thrown at Cambridge commercial property agents by Cheffins’ client, Wrenbridge. The developer is challenging agents to estimate the date when the Space 10 scheme at Papworth Business Park will be completed, reports Cheffins’ Philip Woolner. The prize is £1000 of holiday vouchers.
Will Noton of Wrenbridge says; “We thought we’d inject a bit of fun into the property scene locally. Agents have been sent a set of progress photographs of the two buildings on site. Their task is to judge from the current state of the buildings the date on which they will be physically finished. There is also a monthly champagne draw to keep them excited.”
Wrenbridge is speculatively building two high quality business units of 23,767 sq ft and 37,533 sq ft with a high proportion of office accommodation.
Work started on site in September. They are offered for sale or to let.
The units are particularly aimed at mid and hi tech companies who have current requirements to bring their offices, laboratories and production under one roof. There are several significant firms in the market at the moment who want cost-effective facilities close to Cambridge. With the recent dualling of the A428, such firms are fast appreciating that this site is only 15 minutes from, for example, Cambridge Science Park.
Currently, Wrenbridge has two other schemes underway at Papworth which cater for a wide range of user requirements, from around 2000 sq ft up to 100,000 sq ft. They are Atria Court, which is a speculative development of 54,255 sq ft available in units ranging from 1,989 sq ft to 18,000 sq ft with, and Link 428 offering tailor-made premises from 30,000 sq ft up to 100,000 sq ft.
