Highlights of the machinery section where a 1996 Gregoire Besson RB47 5 furrow plough at £3,300, 2000 Simba Cultipress 3m hit an impressive £7,000, a tidy set of 1990 Simba 2B discs knocked down at a useful £4,800 and a very tidy 1996 AS Marston FF-12 made £5,000, with interest on the phone from New Zealand! Simba trade continued well with a set of 1995 Simba Pressrolls at £2,400 and McConnel Shakaerator’s seem ever popular with a 5 leg topping £3,000, and a very sharp 2007 Kuhn Primor 3560 trailed bale shredder hit a resounding £9,800!

Last up in the DJ Oakey lots where three cracking lots of machinery, up first was a 2008 Case Puma 195 PS with sub 1,000 hours on the clock and gleamed in the June sunshine, which found a winning bid of a £50,000. Up next was an equally smart 2001 New Holland TM165 and is off to Wales for £18,600. Last up was the star of the show a 2003 New Holland CX860 with a 24ft cut and was another winner at £73,000; the following lot was a Cheval OSR header extension and sold at £2,450.

The sale was very well supported by local vendors and close to 90 lots of extra kit was sourced to help bolster an already impressive sale. Highlights include a 2008 Kubota B2230 at £8,550, a super straight 1975 Ford 6600 with loader hit £5,100, 1982 Massey Fergsuon 2640 2wd at £3,100 and a 1987 Ford 6610 was keenly sought after and sold for £4,400. A Kuhn Venta combi drill made £5,500, 14 tonne AS Marston hit £5,000, 16 tonne Agri Hire trailer made £7,300 and a very tidy Taarup 8055 mounted tedder topped £2,500.

Another pleasing sale result with excellent vendors and beautiful surroundings on one of the warmest days of the year so far. Some strong prices for some equally well maintained machinery was achieved also.

Our next sale will be the Tuesday following our next Cambridge Machinery Sale at New House Farm, Saffron Walden, Essex on 15th June 2010 at 10.30am. Catalogues are available online or contact Oliver Godfrey on 01223 271 936 or 07748 596 062.
