Details: A 19th century 'Wilberforce' slavery loving mug printed in black with a freed slave to one side below the banner inscribed 'Wilberforce', the reverse with the farmer's creed all on a green ground, 13.5cm high (D)

Report: There is a chip to the rim and a faint 2cm hair crack through the Wilberforce banner. The colour scheme is a bit like the Yorkshire potteries and the printing like that of Elsmore and Forster. Although the slavery act was 1833 this mug looks later
