Details: Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (British, 1792-1864) Folly House Tavern, Greenwich watercolour 10 x 16cm Provenance: Harold Day Esq The Folly House was a popular venue for whitebait suppers throughout the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Thomas Hosmer Shepherd was employed by Frederick Crace (1779-1859) to make watercolours of old buildings in London before they were demolished. Many of these are now in the British Musuem.
