  ‘The Heart has its Reasons’ - The Memoirs of The Duchess of Windsor – signed copy by Wallis Simpson to be auctioned

  Cheffins Auctioneers will be auctioning a rare signed first edition copy of ‘The Memoirs of The Duchess of Windsor’ in the February 29th Book sale. Signed by Wallis ’with love and appreciation – Wallis’. Unusual in its quality leather binding with silk end papers, dated 1956. The book is illustrated with several personal photographs of Wallis, her childhood, family and David.
  This wonderful illustrated book has been consigned by a local Cambridgeshire vendor and will have an estimate of £150-250.

  30 Volumes Charles Dickens Works

  Cheffins February Book sale will be offering 30 volumes of the works of Charles Dickens, circa 1882. This limited Edition de luxe, is no.586 of 1000 copies. These well illustrated books with mounted plates on India paper, bound in red leather will undoubtedly be of interest to all Dickens collectors, particularly in 2012, the year of celebrations for Dickens bicentenary.

  The collection will have an estimate of £700-1,000 to be auctioned on Thursday 29th February 2012.
