October Vintage Tractor Highlights

Bumper sale with over 140 vintage and classic tractors

There will be over 140 vintage and classic tractors going under the hammer in our next Cambridge Vintage Sale on Saturday 15th October 2016. The sale features 5 steam engines, 35 classic motorcycles, as well as classic cars and commercials, rural bygones, petroliana, enamel signs and all associated spares.  Totalling over 2,400 lots, we are set for yet another bumper sale.

Leading the tractor entry is a very rare 1917 Holt 75, of which only one has been sold previously, a fully restored example making a world record price of £150,000 in the Paul Rackham Sale conducted by Cheffins in 2015.  Other tractors of note include an ultra-original 2001 Massey Ferguson 230 with a paltry 272 recorded hours, a well restored Massey Ferguson 135, a very desirable classic in the form of a 1989 Marshall 100-4 and a stunning 1950 David Brown Cropmaster.  The quality continues with a Ferguson Brown Type A, an immaculate David Brown Thresherman, a low houred and original 1974 Ford 4000 with only 1,852 hours on the clock.  The sale will also offer an unusual 1961 Ford 5000 Super Major with a Roadless rowcrop conversion, a mighty V8 powered Muir Hill 161, a recently entered County 1174 and a Field Marshal S.II as well as a brace of 4wd Massey Fergusons with a 178 MP and 185.

The lots in Sale 5 will be offered from our newly erected building, offering sale-goers the ability to bid in comfort, no matter what the autumn weather has in store! A full detailed catalogue of the sale can be found by clicking here on our new look website.  Should you have any pre-sale enquiries for the sale, please do not hesitate to contact one of our dedicated team on 01353 777 767 (option 2).
