Cheffins have an established residential lettings department based in each of their offices dealing with a wide range of property from cottages to country houses for either individuals or corporate clients. Commercial
Cheffins Commercial was established in 1998 to serve the firm’s growing commercial client base. The department has grown rapidly, and in 2003 merged with Catlings, another long established property firm, to form one of the region’s leading commercial property advisers.
Planning & Development
Cheffins established a Planning and Development department in 2006 in response to increasing demands from clients for planning advice and a strong regional growth agenda. We work with our colleagues in the residential, commercial and agricultural departments to review development potential, submit planning applications and negotiate with planning authorities. We will also prepare appeals and co-ordinate and review environmental assessments.

Cheffins Agricultural & Auctions Department has traditionally formed the core business of the firm since its establishment in 1825.
